Who is it for?

Earning the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute (GRI) designation is a way to stand out to prospective home buyers and sellers as a REALTOR® who has gained in-depth market knowledge, increased proficiency in a broad array of subjects to enhance professionalism and business success.

How to Earn It

Education

  • To gain your GRI designation, you must successfully complete GRI 100, GRI 200 & GRI 300.
  • GRI 200 consists of 4 days of classes. Two days are held at the BP Energy Center in Anchorage and two are at the Valley Board of REALTORS® office in Wasilla.
  • Buyer Representation, Course #2121, 6 hrs ECE, instructor Kathleen Kowalczuk
  • Environmental Issues/Land Use, Course #2007, 6 hrs ECE, instructor Anita Bates
  • Professional Standards, Course #2404, 4 hrs ECE, instructor Uli Johnson
  • Preparing for Difficult Negotiations: Crucial Conversations, Course #TBD, 6 hrs ECE pending AREC approval, instructor Suellen Appellof

Professional Affiliation

  • Member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS®
  • GRI does not require annual renewal as long as you remain an active member in good standing of the National Association of REALTORS®.

REALTOR Action Center Mobile App

Where will you be when you get the Call-for-Action? You can be anywhere because the REALTOR® Action Center mobile app contains a host of features to help you VOTE, ACT and INVEST on the go.

How to get started:

  1. The REALTOR® Action Center mobile app is currently available only for the iPhone and Droid platforms. Search for "NAR Action Center" on the iTunes Store or Droid Market and download the app today.
  2. After downloading the app, you will be asked to login using the email address associated with the REALTOR® Action Center and your NRDs number.
  3. When you login, you will be asked if you want to receive notifications from the REALTOR® Action Center. Click "Yes" to receive them.
  4. Once you are logged in, click on the button in the upper right corner that looks like three horizontal white lines to navigate the app.
  5. If you experience any problems downloading the app, retrieving your email or password, or logging into the app, send an email tocomments@realtoractioncenter.com and a member of the REALTOR® Action Center team will respond.
